Location :
Ranikhet is 385 Kms from Delhi and is a convenient seven to eight hours drive by road or a comfortable overnight journey to Kathgodam by the Ranikhet Express. Between Kathgodam and Ranikhet (85 kilometres) there are regular taxis to ferry travellers. Thereafter, Wayfarer Solitaire is located 11 Kms beyond Ranikhet town towards Gagas at village Chaukhoni.
It was once the pet excursion ground of Padmini, queen of the Katyuri King Sudhardev (1180 AD). Thick pine cover, panoramic Himalayan view, neatly laid out township and tonnes of fresh oxygen are what induces travellers to visit Ranikhet.
