About Ranikhet :
Founded in the year 1869 Ranikhet came up as one of the finest and most beautiful and pictureous cantonments of the country. Lord Mayo when became the governor general of India thought of changing summer capital of India from Shimla to Ranikhet and in this process also got survey of railway line to Ranikhet done.
