How to Reach :

By Air or Train : Regular flights / train are from all over India to Pathankot / Chakki Bank, which is the nearest railway station to Dalhousie

Distance from Pathankot to Dalhousie is approximately 82 km From Pathankot you have an option to travel by private taxi or public transport avibale from Pathankot bus stand Private Taxies are available at Pathankot Railways Station and Bus stand, fare is negotiable. It takes around 3 hours to reach Dalhousie Public Transport is available from Pathankot Bus Stand. There are frequent buses leaving for Dalhousie and Chamba. If you have boarded a bus to Chamba, you have to get down at Baniket, which is 7 K.M from Dalhousie.

By Road : There are a few direct buses to Dalhousie from ISBT, NewDelhi . These are semi-deluxe buses, operated by Himachal Road Transport Corporation as well as Haryana Road Transport Corporation. The fare is approximately Rs 350 per person and it takes around 12 hours to reach Dalhousie. These buses make few pit stops at road side Dhabas. Avoid eating at any of them. All kinds of Luxury sleepers, semi-sleepers, Volvo buses are available from Delhi to Pathankot which further run to Jammu. From Pathankot you have an option to travel by Private Taxi or Public Transport.

By Car : You can also reach Dalhousie by your private transportation also. Distance between Delhi & Dalhousie is approximately 560 km. It takes around 8-10 hours to reach Dalhousie. The advisable route is Karnal, Ambala, Ludhiana , Jalander, Pathankot and Dalhousie. The highway is well built and maintained and average speed is 70-80 km per hour

It is advisable not to drive continuously from Pathankot to Dalhousie as this stretch has hilly terrain. The distance from Pathankot to Dalhousie is 72 k.m
