Chamba : Bowl shaped town Chamba of this exquisite valley is memorable for its lush green deodar forests and meadows. Founded in 920 AD by Raja Sahib Verma, the town is perched on a plateau with gushing river waters of Ravi below. It draws its name from Raja’s favourite daughter-Champavati. Being their own heritage and culture which is fully reflected in its architect, paintings and embroidery. Temple dedicated to Shiva & Vishnu are sprinkled all over.
