Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi -
Arrive Delhi international airport, meet, assist and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a half day tour of Old Delhi, including the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. Overnight in Delhi
Day 02 : Delhi - In the morning, proceed on a half day tour of New Delhi, the capital designed by Lutyens and characterised by wide, tree-lined avenues and magnificient colonial buildings. Drive past India Gate, the President's Palace and visit the Qutub Minar. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 03 :
Agra -
This morning, drive to Agra(4 hours drive). On arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. In the evening, a half day tour of Agra city takes you on a visit to the Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders of the world and the Agra Fort, a magnificient citadel with exquisite marble palace and terrace pavillions. Overnight in Agra.
Day 04 : Agra - Jaipur - Morning at leisure in Agra. In the afternoon, drive to Jaipur(5 hours drive), enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted, but perfectly preserved sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar but abandoned after only 15 years. On arrival in Jaipur, check into your hotel. Overnight in
Jaipur.
Day 05 : Jaipur - This morning proceed for a half day tour of Amber Fort. The final ascent to this ancient city is made on elephant - back. In Amber, you will see magnificient palaces with walls covered with mirrored mosaics. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 06 :
Jaipur -
In the morning proceed for a half day tour of Jaipur city. Visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar - the astronomical observatory and the five-storey facade of the Palace of the Winds. Rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight in
Jaipur.
Day 07 : Udaipur - Transfer to the airport to connect your flight to Udaipur. On arrival in Udaipur meet, assist and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in
Udaipur.
Day 08 : Udaipur - In the morning proceed for a half day city tour of this walled fortress city. You will visit the City Palace, Lake Pichola with its surrounding havelis, ghats and temples and the pleasure garden known as the Sahelion Ki Bari or 'Garden of the Maids of Honour'. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 09 :
Udaipur - Aurangabad -
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Aurangabad. On arrival in Aurangabad, meet, assist and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure and overnight in
Aurangabad.
Day 10 : Aurangabad - Full day excursion to Ajanta Caves - consisting of 24 monastries and 5 temples hewn out of solid rock. The wall paintings and frescoes of these caves are a wealth of colour. Overnight in
Aurangabad.
Day 11 : Aurangabad - Mumbai - In the morning proceed on a half day tour of Ellora caves. The caves are over 2000 years old and consist of temples and monastries hewn from rock by Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monks and craftsmen. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai for your onward connections.
