Accommodation :
These are five large rooms within the house and three in the cottages. An outhouse has been converted into a dining room. The log cabin with its wide glass windows has beautiful view of the surrounding trees.

Restaurant :
A breakfast of 'hot paranthas' with creamy yogurt and Khandelwal's 'marwari pickle' is a favorite with guests.
Serves the best Indian, Mughlai, Marwari and Chinese food, this side of the Himalayas.
Its green hill and varied fauna and flora makes it a colorful and picturesque hill station, commanding a wonderful view of the extensive Himalayan snow ranges as also a glittering view of the river Ganga. Location :
Lansdowne is the only remaining "Living" hill station in the north Himalayas situated at a height of 5800 ft and located only 245km from Delhi. There are only 8000 inhabitants, 50 times that number of trees that feed on myriad streams and check dams and a main market that you could finish visiting in 15 minutes.
Rail : Nearest railway station is Kotdwar (40 kms), which is well connected by buses. Kotdwar is well connected with Delhi.
Road : Lansdowne is well connected to Dehradun, Rishikesh, Kotdwar and other cities of the region. From Delhi the best option is to start early and drive via Delhi - Meerut - Bijnaur - Najibabad - Kotdwar and onwards to Lansdowne. Kotdwar is the last station on the plains where after the hill drive starts. Resort is around 40 Kms from Kotdwar. It takes 5-6 hours from Delhi to reach the resort.

Ensconced amidst the worlds highest and most beautiful mountain ranges--the Himalayas, naturally the Uttarakhand hills are endowed with extra ordinary beauty and most of it is unseen by the outside world. This makes Salpine Jungle Camp an ideal location for eco-tourism. While the rest of the world is selling tourism by destroying nature, we at Salpine Jungle Camp (UK),Lansdowne are also selling tourism but by preserving and conserving nature.
Salpine Jungle Camp located at a height of 4000ft above sea level is surrounded by by a huge Organic orchard which boasts of growing almost every fruit available. We grow Mangoes and Apples together at the same place says Shah. Guests have a choice of plucking the organically grown vegetables and fruits and then get it cooked in the kitchen.
A family of doctors who are known in these areas as Dr. Shah?s Family started SALPINE jungle rejuvenation camp. They studied in the best medical college of the world and realized that if city people were able to breathe fresh air for even 10 days a year it would prolong their longevity substantially.
This encouraged them to start the Salpine rejuvenation center. It is camp with a discipline of its own. There is a resident doctor all the time, which takes care of individual guests and their requirements. There is no fixed or hard regimen. The emphasis is on letting the bodies own rejuvenation process take over while keeping the system supplied with the right amount of nutrients, exercise, walks, and fresh air. Your choice of food from the large menu is cooked in the mess and served only at the dining hall. No room service, no in room television, or telephones. Even the water in camp is brought from the spring source for its better quality.
We encourage our guest to expect the unexpected. For the more adventurous we have tents with all the rustic roughing out details from butane burners to make your morning tea, to little blue lanterns to keep the bugs away while you snuggle into your sleeping bag on a bed of pine shedding.
There is a separate common room and bonfire clubhouse which is the party den.
Many of our guests have sat around the bonfire and played the guitar after 20 years of leaving college over a hot cup of cappuccino and hoped that they never have to go back to television and instant masala-dosas of the maddening cities.
A clean fresh and invigorating environment makes Salpine Jungle Camp a preferred destination to relax and unwind. It is truly a Rejuvenating experience.
Every child is a born naturalist full of wonder. From the child's view point, nature seems to hold endless treasure. Ours is a Eco friendly, homely and safe resort just 230 Km form Delhi and 150 Km from Dehradun, where we let the child learn from nature and also interact with specialist/ naturalists.
